Happy Easter!!!!

We celebrated Easter on Saturday since my sister had to work on Sunday.  Before we headed to the Cathcarts, Grandpa and Grandma Winter stopped by for a visit and to bring the kids their Easter goodies!  We met at the Cathcarts, along with Mom and Mike, and then made our way to Hope for an amazing Easter service.  After church we came back to the Cathcarts to grill and hang out.  The kids got loaded up with more Easter goodies from Nana Pam and Papa Mike.  I'm kinda glad that Alexandria can't eat the candy yet...just means more for momma!  We hope that you all had a wonderful Easter with loved ones and celebrated that He Is Risen!!!

Icky Weather...BOO!

All I gotta say is this so called spring weather we are having is no fun...winter just does not want to let go!  We didn't have the best weather this weekend either, so we pretty much stayed indoors again.  Friday evening we did jaunt over to Altoona for Heath's Aunt Lavenia and Uncle Ed's 50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration.  It was nice and they had a good turnout.  We had to cut our time short due to lil' Miss Alexandria as it was past her bedtime.  It sure is nice that she is so scheduled and predictable, but it also makes doing anything around her nap time and/or bedtime very tricky.  Saturday Alexandria and I stuck around home while daddy and Kade ran some errands.  That evening we went to Palm Sunday service at church.  This Monday I got to stay home with my darling because we didn't have daycare, so I took the day off.  We had fun and did some errands around town.  She was very good and enjoyed helping mommy shop! She also turned 8 months on Monday, so it was an extra special day!!
Alexandria is back on antibiotics for yet another double ear infection...ugh!  I just knew it was back when she started crying when I lied her down and when she wasn't eating as much.  We have a follow-up with her Dr. next week and I'm going to discuss the option of getting tubes.  I have a feeling that these are not going to go away and I really do not want her on antibiotics all the time nor do I want her to have any permanent ear damage.
Well, that's it in our world.  I sure hope everyone has a great week and enjoys Easter this weekend.  Blessings.

Another boring week

We've been laying low and just hanging out at home.  We got to enjoy the beautiful weekend we just had!  Alexandria went for another stroller walk and enjoys going outside even if it is just to the neighbors house to see their puppies.  She is really starting to like animals.  Alexandria continues to get more fun and playful everyday.  She is also getting silly and knows it!  She likes to play games now, which include peek-a-boo and anything that involves touching her feet.  I believe she already has a foot fetish!
We did get to enjoy a somewhat adult evening on Saturday night with the Joneses.  They came over for some drinks and to play cards which was fun!  I was up way past my bedtime...but, I didn't mind since it was daddy's turn to get up in the morning with Alexandria! :)

Hummmm.

She is sly.

Hip Hip Horray!!

Now I don't want to jinx ourselves, but Alexandria is finally ear infection free after 3 months!  Her left ear still has fluid in it, but it is clear.  Dr. Gammon says that the fluid may stay in there for awhile, just disappear, or could get infected again...we will just have to wait and see.  I was just happy to not have to go get a prescription filled after leaving the office.  She has had 4 antibiotics, ear drops, and 3 Rocephen shots.  She was NOT happy to see the nurse come in the room today...it was the first time Alexandria actually reached out for me with this look of horror.  It's amazing what they don't forget!  She is now a whopping 16 lbs. 12 oz.  She is gaining weight better because she is now eating more baby food and her sitting continues to improve as her equilibrium improves.  It's amazing what happens once the ears are fixed!!
