Good-Bye

This weekend was one of mixed emotions.  I had to say good-bye to one of my dearest friends, Amber Harvey.  I have worked with her for the past five years and we've become very good friends.  I feel partly responsible as to why she is leaving...she met the love of her life in Las Vegas on our girl trip.  Yes..it is no joke!  I wouldn't of believed it if I hadn't been there and seen it with my own eyes...so, I'm completely supportive of her leaving.  Friday night was her and Bobbi's (my PT tech that has been with me for 5 yrs too) going away party after work at Olde Main and then it was off to see my hubby play a gig down at the House of Bricks.  I'm very thankful that Amber Paige and Shell came down to keep me company and help support Hillside Charge. Grandma Renae and Papa Jon came down to babysit Alexandria for us!  Thanks guys!  I think a fun time was had by all!
Saturday evening was Amber Harvey's bachelorette party in Ames, which was fun until I had to say my "good-bye".  We both cried like babies in the middle of Whisky River, but we didn't care.  They were tears of joy for her and of sadness that I won't get to hear her at work everyday...she is the life of our clinic.  We had a little scary moment on our way to downtown Ames that evening.  We got caught in the middle of the police shooting that occurred due to 2 women driving a stolen vehicle.  Cops were flying by us and we had to pull over right by where it was all going down and the police had their guns drawn.  We witnessed the police hand-cuffing the driver and also saw the passenger lying on the ground from her gunshot wound.  I guess you never know what's going to happen...and we weren't even in Des Moines!
Sunday Kade said "good-bye" to his Bears football team.  He ended his Bears career on a good note with a fumble recovery and a win!  Sis and I stayed home, which was a good thing as the game had a lightening delay and was really cold.  Daddy didn't get home until 9:30 that evening.  Kade has moved on to wrestling now and is really enjoying it.
So, farewell friends and football...hello to wrestling, Alexandria walking, and Halloween!!!

Just Pictures

We have been boring, so there hasn't been much to blog about.  The only thing really going on here has been Kade's football games.  So, enjoy all the pics!  We actually have plans for the next 3 weekends, so there will be stuff worth blogging about!
