Saturday evening was Amber Harvey's bachelorette party in Ames, which was fun until I had to say my "good-bye". We both cried like babies in the middle of Whisky River, but we didn't care. They were tears of joy for her and of sadness that I won't get to hear her at work everyday...she is the life of our clinic. We had a little scary moment on our way to downtown Ames that evening. We got caught in the middle of the police shooting that occurred due to 2 women driving a stolen vehicle. Cops were flying by us and we had to pull over right by where it was all going down and the police had their guns drawn. We witnessed the police hand-cuffing the driver and also saw the passenger lying on the ground from her gunshot wound. I guess you never know what's going to happen...and we weren't even in Des Moines!
Sunday Kade said "good-bye" to his Bears football team. He ended his Bears career on a good note with a fumble recovery and a win! Sis and I stayed home, which was a good thing as the game had a lightening delay and was really cold. Daddy didn't get home until 9:30 that evening. Kade has moved on to wrestling now and is really enjoying it.
So, farewell friends and football...hello to wrestling, Alexandria walking, and Halloween!!!
