We would like to apologize for the delay in blog posting. We've been busy getting settled in our house, getting ready for Christmas and baby, wrestling, Thanksgiving, job transfer, and family gatherings. Let's just say I'm really looking forward to maternity leave for some time at home! Now to get you all caught up in the quickest way possible...Kade just finished his 2nd wrestling season with a record of 6-7, which is a big improvement from last year! He is talking about doing basketball next year instead of wrestling...we will see!? Sis continues to rule the roost and talk all the time! She is forming sentences and thoughts which surprise me everyday. She is curious about everything and is VERY excited for Christmas. She is all about the Christmas lights, the tree, presents, Santa, the Elf on the Shelf (Cupcake), and Santa's reindeer. We took her to see Santa last weekend, which was more of a success than last year. I sat on Santa's lap (poor Santa) so she sat on my lap, but when it came time to leave she had no problem running to him and giving him a big hug! Devon continues to stay busy working at Butch's. He stays with us usually 1-2 times a week, which sis just loves. Everytime the front door opens, she thinks or hopes that it is him.
We've also celebrated my Grandma's 80th birthday, which was Thanksgiving weekend. It was a surprise party and we pulled it off! She usually figures those kind of things out, but not this time! Several of her family members were there to help her celebrate! It was a nice time.
Heath has transferred to the Mitchelville prison, which is the only women's prison in the state. It is a 20 min. closer commute than Fort Dodge and he is going to start working 3rd shift, which is overnights so he can be home with us in the evenings. He is still training, so he has actually had a couple weekends off, which has been great! Alexandria is so much happier now that daddy is around more and so is mommy!
Baby's room is coming along, but not done yet. We are starting to get anxious about meeting this lil' guy. I'm still feeling pretty good...just the usual...tired, backache, and restless sleep. Baby does have a name, but as most of you know we are keeping it a secret! You will know soon enough!
I did not get around to doing Christmas cards this year. So, from our family to yours...We wish you all a very blessed Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year!!! I'll try to stay more up-to-date with the blog...maybe I should make that my resolution for 2013!?
