Mommy's Birthday

Happy Birthday to the Love of our life.  Yesterday after our first Dr. appointment we went out to eat to celebrate Tanya's birthday. We went to Christopher's in Beaverdale. We had a very nice peace and quiet kinda dinner. One that we can actually enjoy our food and each other's company. This tells you it was just the two of us. Of course we spent the whole time talking about our children and possible baby names. Along with our quiet time we had an awesome meal. Today was otherwise as usual, work for Tanya, work on the house for me. The kids and I got Mommy a gift certificate to a hair salon for a haircut and another gift certificate to her favorite massage guy for a much needed future massage. After supper we enjoyed cake and ice cream to top off the evening. Happy Birthday Honey, like I said before you age like the finest wine and we are the luckiest family to have you at the helm everyday.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alexandria has some news to share!

Yes, we are happy to announce that baby #2 is expected to arrive January 18th!  We had our first appointment today and heard a strong heartbeat, which was music to our ears!  So far this pregnancy has been a lot different for the fact that I really don't even feel pregnant.  I guess that is good, huh?!  I don't know whether to attribute that to the fact that I don't have time to really focus on this pregnancy like I did with Alexandria or if this baby is just going to be easy-going and relaxed.  We are very excited and can't wait to see what this little one will be like!

Adventure Zoo

This past week was full of summer fun!  Heath and Kade got to spend a day at Adventureland with the Kamms.  They both came home sun burnt but they had a great time!  We also got to go to the Omaha Zoo this past week with Mom, Mike, Aunt Wendy, Steph, Jaxson, and Holden.  It was sis' first trip to the zoo and I think it was a success!  She did a great job with the car ride and the long day without a nap.  Her favorite part of the whole trip was a water projection screen in the aquarium.  It projected onto the floor and it had moving fish and would make water ripples if you stomped on the pad.  It was pretty cool and I think we could have left her there for hours.  Hmmm...maybe we need one for home?!

Great day hanging with my bro, Ralphy.
Nate, Danny, Dylan and Kade.
Silly Silo.
Notice- no adults!!!

Hubbard Days

Last weekend the kids and I headed to Hubbard to celebrate Hubbard Days.  Heath stayed overnight at his mom's house and was able to meet us in town to enjoy the parade with us before he had to leave for work.  Sis enjoyed the parade much more than last year and scored plenty of candy, which was gobbled up primarily by Kade.  After the parade we went out to the Care Center to see Grandma Renae and Great Grandpa Dougan.  He is now out there to finish recovering from being in the hospital for a month.  He is lucky that Renae works out there to make sure he gets top notch care.  He was very happy to see us and is always entertained by Alexandria.  After our visit, Heath left for work and the kids and I went out to mom's to eat some lunch and take naps.  When we were all refreshed we went back into town and watched the fireman's water fights.  Later that evening we went out to Brandon and Jess' for a bonfire.  They had a huge tree come down during a storm, so they use that as their fuel.  Kade kept entertained by throwing a frisbee for all of their dogs to fight over.  Sis just enjoyed being outside and climbing up and down on the tables they had out there.  It was a beautiful night and we even got to see some of the fireworks display from the pasture.  Sis and I left early to go to bed, but Kade stayed out with mom for a little while longer...he probably heard some interesting conversations amongst all of Brandon and Jess' friends?!  We left pretty early in the morning so we could get home and see daddy for a short time before he had to leave for work again.
