Radcliffe Days, Ragbrai, Random

A couple weekends ago I took the kids up for Radcliffe Days.  It was a beautiful weekend to enjoy the parade and activities in the park.  We got to spend time with family and even check out the new business in town, It's all Good.  What a neat place!!  It has desserts, serves coffee, and has neat crafts and gifts.  I can say that I did not feel like I was in Radcliffe when I was sitting in there. While cooling off in the air conditioning, we enjoyed some of their yummy ice cream.

Kade and Heath got to enjoy the free concert in Des Moines when Ragbrai passed through.  It was such a beautiful night then too!  They also saw some pretty neat street performers!

Other news...Alexandria is potty trained!!!!  She is doing so well and is very proud of herself too! She continues to amaze us everyday with her insights, sass, and spunk!  She loves to try and make Parker laugh now, which doesn't take much because he just giggles at the sight of her.  He continues to be a happy little man as long as he's not tired and has a full tummy.  He is becoming a mamas boy, which I love and get a little annoyed with at the same time.  He is quite the mover...he is now able to go from lying down to sitting on his own.  Kade is getting ready to go to Riverside Bible camp, start football practice and HIGH SCHOOL!  It is going to be a big year for him.  He is nervous, but I think excited too.

This is what Sis calls a Snuggle Fest.
I'm gonna get some Ice cream!!!

Great Grandma, Wendy, and Grandma Pam
stopped by for a visit!

Sis went to the store & asked me for a Big Dora.
She flips & swims.
Gotta do them sit ups & push ups.
I love to do planks.
Is that a big butterfly that just landed on me?
I'm ready to go to the parade.

Mommy's Birthday, 4th of July, Parker's 6 months!

We're a little behind in the blog department.  I turned 29 (I wish!) in June and Heath surprised me after work with balloons, a cake, supper, and Devon and Breanna at home.  He even planted some potted flowers for me that were out front when I pulled up!  It was very nice!!
For the 4th of July we went on the 3rd to Slater and watched the fireworks from the van.  We pulled into the Kelly bar parking lot, so we were far enough away to protect Parkers' little ears.  Sis was more excited about getting to sit in the back of the van than watching the fireworks.  On the 4th we went to the Ames parade.  It was such a beautiful day, which made it hard to find a decent spot as the whole town went.  We were at the end of the parade so we didn't leave with much candy, but Sis did get a balloon from a clown!  The highlight of the parade was Devon...he drove his tow truck and was at the end of the parade.  He saved a bunch of candy for sis...what a good brother!
Parker is now 6 months old and moving around like crazy!  He is army crawling and getting into everything!  He has 2 teeth and loves to play peek-a-boo, be tickled, play with Sis, snuggle, and eat!  His latest stats are:  weight 17lbs. 15 oz (56%), height 26.5 in. (43%).  Dr. Nau says he is 2 months ahead developmentally, so we better watch out!
Alexandria is currently working on potty training and doing well.  She is only wearing diapers during naps and bedtime.  She is getting excited about turning 3 next month and has specified that she wants a Dora birthday party...uh, didn't see that one coming!
