Hubbard Days

Last weekend the kids and I headed to Hubbard to celebrate Hubbard Days.  Heath stayed overnight at his mom's house and was able to meet us in town to enjoy the parade with us before he had to leave for work.  Sis enjoyed the parade much more than last year and scored plenty of candy, which was gobbled up primarily by Kade.  After the parade we went out to the Care Center to see Grandma Renae and Great Grandpa Dougan.  He is now out there to finish recovering from being in the hospital for a month.  He is lucky that Renae works out there to make sure he gets top notch care.  He was very happy to see us and is always entertained by Alexandria.  After our visit, Heath left for work and the kids and I went out to mom's to eat some lunch and take naps.  When we were all refreshed we went back into town and watched the fireman's water fights.  Later that evening we went out to Brandon and Jess' for a bonfire.  They had a huge tree come down during a storm, so they use that as their fuel.  Kade kept entertained by throwing a frisbee for all of their dogs to fight over.  Sis just enjoyed being outside and climbing up and down on the tables they had out there.  It was a beautiful night and we even got to see some of the fireworks display from the pasture.  Sis and I left early to go to bed, but Kade stayed out with mom for a little while longer...he probably heard some interesting conversations amongst all of Brandon and Jess' friends?!  We left pretty early in the morning so we could get home and see daddy for a short time before he had to leave for work again.
