The Main Adventures: Summer Fun & a Few Parties

We are SO far behind in the blog department! We have had A LOT going on at our house, so here are a bunch of pics to sum everything up. Grandma Renae celebrated her birthday on Aug. 2nd. The family met at Hickory Park to help her celebrate, which included a nice serenade by the employees!
Sis and I spent a day at the Blank Park Zoo, which she loved. I think her favorite things were the giraffes, the play area, and the carousel. She had never ridden on a carousel before, but once she got the hang of it, she didn't want to get off.
The Buckley Annual Summer Party is always the first weekend in Aug. It was at the Hubbard Park again this year. The kids and I went up for it and it ended up being a beautiful day after a down pour and cool morning. Kade and Alexandria had fun playing in the jump house, which was also another first for her. She also took a trek around the pond and enjoyed the slides.
Heath and Kade had a father-son night and attended a Sevendust concert in Des Moines. They had a great time and were soaked at the end of it.
These last couple months have been consumed by getting our house ready to sell. Once we got it on the market, things moved very quickly, which we are extremely thankful for. Our house sold in 10 days!!! We found a house this past week and put an offer in on Saturday morning and found out a couple hours later that they excepted it!!! We will be living in North Ames in a newer development that is full of young families, which we are excited about. The house is pretty well move-in ready with the exception of painting. We are sad to be leaving our current home, but know that this change will be much better for our family. I'm so thankful all of this is taking place before baby arrives. We will be Ames residents the first part of October!
